Come and meet your extraordinary family from Nigeria, Asia and the Middle East.

Join us on Saturday 16 November 2019 at the Bethel Convention Centre (BCC) in Birmingham. Come and hear amazing stories of God’s faithfulness and how Christians are standing strong through the fiercest storms.

The event will start at 10 am and will finish at 4 pm. Doors Open at 9:00 am.

Early-bird ticket prices will be available up to 31 July 2019.

Early bird adult ticket £10 (after 31 July this will be £15).

Group bookings of five or more adult tickets will receive 30% off.

Partner Church If you are a Partner Church, you can receive your discounted ticket price by clicking on the ‘enter promotional code’ on the top right-hand corner of the ticket type box and entering the promotional code. (Your church leader should be able to provide you with the code if you don’t already know it.)

Seating will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Once the main auditorium is filled seating will be allocated in the balcony and at the side of the stage which does have a slightly restricted view.

Catering Refreshments (tea/coffee) are included in your ticket price. You are also able to bring your own packed lunch into the venue or purchase a grab-bag lunch for £6 at the time of booking. Please select lunch in the ticket selection box and don’t forget to let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Disabled Access Please let us know if you require a disabled parking space – we will need you to provide your car registration and blue badge number. Please note there is limited disabled parking and spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Do also let us know if you require wheelchair access and/or hearing loop. Unfortunately, no BSL Interpretation will be available at the event.

Parking Parking is very limited at the BCC, but an overflow car park is available at Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Dudley Road, Oldbury, B69 3DL. This car park is open from 8am-6pm and all-day parking costs £4 (only cash is accepted at the payment machines). You can walk from here to the BCC in 20 minutes; alternatively, you can take one of the free shuttle buses we will provide.

Children’s programme (for children aged 5-11 years) If you are buying a family ticket or individual children’s tickets (5-11 years), your children will automatically be enrolled in our children’s programme. Please ensure you let us know the ages of your child/ren so we can place them in the appropriate age group. We only have 60 spaces and once spots have been filled we will close ticketing for the children's programme.

Due to the sensitive content shared by our speakers, we do advise caution if you are planning on bringing young children into the main auditorium.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? Travelling by car Bethel Convention Centre is easily accessible by car from all over the UK. The venue is two miles from Junction 1 of the M5. If you are using a SatNav, the BCC postcode is B70 7JW.

Travelling by train The closest train station is Sandwell & Dudley (Bromford Road, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B70 7JD), which is a ten-minute walk to the BCC. A taxi rank is located outside the train station. Birmingham New Street and Birmingham Snows Hill stations run regular services to Sandwell & Dudley via West Midlands Rail.

Parking Parking is very limited at Bethel Convention Centre and we expect the car park to be full by 9.15am. If the car park is full upon arrival at the BCC, a member of staff will be waiting and will provide you with directions to the overflow car park. The overflow car park is located at Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Dudley Road, Oldbury, B69 3DL and is open from 8am-6pm. Please note all-day parking costs £4 and only cash is accepted at the payment machines. You can walk from here to the BCC in 20 minutes, or you can take one of the free shuttle buses we will provide. Shuttle buses will run from 8.15am-10.30am prior to the event, and from 4pm-5.30pm after the event. Please look for Open Doors staff who will be located at the car park to help you.

Street parking is also available on Kelvin Way which is the road that runs alongside the BCC. (Please do not park on yellow lines or red routes.)

What disabled access is available? Please note that there are a limited number of disabled parking spaces at the venue and spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please let us know if you require a disabled parking space – we will ask you to provide your car registration and blue badge number.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket with me to the event? Please bring your tickets already printed or displayed on your phone.

I am booking for a group – will my guests receive their own ticket? If you are booking for a group, all of the tickets will be emailed to the email address of the person booking the tickets. You can print out the tickets for each of your guests or forward them via email. Please ensure each guest has their ticket printed or displayed on their phone for registration.

What will happen at registration? Registration and doors will open at 9 am. You will be welcomed by a member of the Open Doors team who will direct you to the appropriate registration desk. There will be a separate registration desk for disabled attendees. Your tickets will be scanned for security and you will be given a wristband to identify you as a guest of Standing Strong.

What are my options for lunch? Refreshments (tea/coffee) are included in the ticket price and will be available upon arrival and during breaks. You are also able to bring your own packed lunch and drinks into the venue or purchase a grab-bag lunch for £6. Please select lunch in the ticket selection box. Grab-bag lunches will be available to buy up to a month prior to the event. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

There will also be a small bakery and café open in the venue selling drinks and snacks.

What can my children expect if they attend the children’s programme? Children (aged 5-11) can expect a fun-filled programme where they will learn about Open Doors founder Brother Andrew’s adventures, the persecuted church, and what it’s like to be a secret believer through age-appropriate resources. There may also be an opportunity for them to meet one of our international speakers. Please let us know the ages of your child/ren so we can make sure they are placed in the appropriate age group. A registration form will be emailed to you nearer the event - please complete and return this to us as no child will be permitted into the programme without one.

We will provide drinks and snacks throughout the day, but please make sure to pack your child a lunch. If your child/ren have any special dietary requirements please also pack them a morning and afternoon snack with their name clearly labelled.

Will there be a crèche facility? There will be a crèche available for 0-4-year-olds, which will be open from 9.00am. Please note that the crèche will not be staffed, so children will need to be looked after by a parent or guardian.

What is the refund policy? You will receive a full refund up to 30 days prior to the event.

Can I transfer my ticket to somebody else? If you would like to transfer a ticket to somebody else, please call the Inspire Team on 01993 460015 who will be able to do this for you.

Can I update my registration information after I have purchased tickets? If you have created an account with Eventbrite, you will be able to update or edit the leads bookers information (name, email address, dietary and access information). Find out more about updating your details after you purchase tickets.

What security measures are being put in place? As part of our security measures, all guests will be given a wristband on arrival. Please wear it at all times and display it when requested. In addition, random bag checks will be carried out at the discretion of Bethel Convention Centre staff.
