Starring WillE, whose credits include Def Comedy Jam and P-Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy. WillE is renown for his physical comedy ranging from transformers into morphing into animals right before your eyes. His repertoire is so huge only he knows what he’ll deliver on the night. One simple fact is that WillE is one of the best pound for pound comedians in the game.

This FREE one-off workshop is themed around grounding, boundaries, creativity, connection and communication which are at the core of Ella Mesma's work.

This studio-based class will combine the styles of *Afro Brazilian and Afro Cuban styles, Hip Hop, yoga and contemporary dance.*

RUSH: A JOYOUS JAMAICAN JOURNEY

Join us as we tell the story of Reggae music from the arrival of the Windrush Generation from Jamaica - bringing their stories, history and music with them - and hear how their music evolved through the decades to take the world by storm.

Narrated by comedian John Simmit the show features ska, rock steady, calypso, gospel, lovers rock, dancehall and Reggae played live by the JA Reggae Band.

Get ready to dance to the music of Desmond Dekker, Jimmy Cliff, Toots & The Maytals, Prince Buster, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Lord Kitchener, Millie Small and many, many more.

Windrush Garden Party at Soho House 2019

Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust, in partnership with the BAME Staff Network at the University of Birmingham, Recognize Black Heritage & Culture, Ladywood Arts Forum and Flim Hub Midlands request the pleasure of your company to celebrate Windrush Day at our Windrush Garden Party.

The event will take place on Sunday 23rd June between 1 pm - 9 pm at Soho House, Soho Avenue, off Soho Road Handsworth B18 5LB.

Come and join us for an afternoon of food, music, entertainment and garden games to honour the legacy of the early pioneers.

In order to celebrate Black History, during October 2019 a one-day annual event will be taking place -

Freedom - The Black History Experience.

 

Freedom is a Black History production which will be taking place during October.

We aim to provide an entertainment-filled evening suitable for all the family, with a variety of creative arts to commemorate black events and achievements over the centuries.

On the night there will be singers, dancers, musicians, poets and more to showcase a selection of our young up and coming talent throughout the UK.

The Free Sports Day aims to create a welcoming and fun environment offering a range of inclusive physical activities for all disabilities

About this Event

The Free Disability Sports Day will consist of sports awareness by helping disabled people (physical and or learning difficulty) understand the benefits of physical activity by providing a different range of inclusive activities to increase awareness and participation in sports and physical activity across Birmingham.
